2009 SheppARTon Festival: New Horizons

in partnership with the University of Melbourne

The SheppARTon Festival is now in its 12th year and has become an iconic event in the Greater Shepparton area. Planning is underway for the 2009 Festival which will be themed "New Horizons" 

'New Horizons' defines some of the unique attributes of the people and land of the Goulburn Valley.  Our community is renowned for coming together when times are tough and for welcoming people escaping oppression or conflict.  We live together in a landscape with unencumbered views of the horizon, a limitless sky with limitless possibilities. This theme celebrates the festival's commitment to use new artistic endeavors to enhance the cohesion of our diverse community and explore the common challenges of a new future, with new hope of new horizons.

A community performance will be a highlight with the theme ‘New Horizons’ being used to present a hopeful new future for our all communities within the Goulburn Valley.
